And here we learn what the name of the village means. Unfortunately, no, I do not actually have a full language mapped out. Conlangs (constructed languages) are a hobby of mine, but I have yet to put together a full one yet. It's a dram of mine though, that I'll one day manage to finish one.

On a related note, in the original script, this place was supposed to be full of snow. Eventually decided against it though, as in an earlier page I had Sardar say that the paths up the mountain are usually free of snow. Also, I realized that as tough as Anna is, it would be pretty irresponsible of Rainard to send her up the mountain if it was full of snow. We'll just say that as it's only early winter, the paths haven't snowed over yet, but in the deep of winter it's still a possibility.

EDIT: So turns out I accidentally uploaded the wrong image for this page. I've fixed it now, but some of you might have caught it before I did and were wondering why the page didn't make sense. If you were, this is why it didn't.

Second Chances indeed! Good thing those exist, right?

Oh yes. Second chances are one of my favorite theme in fiction. Couldn't remember what this reminded me of: my favorite novella, which is The Moon Moth, by Jack Vance. Much to think about here.

Also a favorite theme of mine. Right up there with old heroes being called to arms one final time. One reason why I loves me some David Gemmell.

That's a fantastic story, I wish Jack Vance would have made more stories about this society. I couldn't stop thinking: It might work.

Pagat Or - hm, the name made me rather think of "(figurative) pot of gold", something to find and build on. Like a new home. That's maybe not too far away from "Second chances", but might also be rather a "first chance" for some. (That's me putting too much thought into stuff...)

Quite expressive last panels, I wonder why he... Oh. Ohh :) 2nd chance for him, he realizes... Man, that's beautiful :)

Heh, thanks :) Was a bit worried that emotion wouldn't come off as well as I intended. He is indeed thinking it's a second chance for him. Really glad that it came across just fine.

I can see where the "pot of gold" thing could have come from, with "Or" being "gold". But honestly, I hadn't originally thought of it that way, nor did I intend the pot of gold allusion. Still, it's a pretty good interpretation, so henceforth, I'm going to claim that it was an intentional all along, hehe ;)
