Yes, that's the emblem we saw earlier on the carriage and on Orvar's walls. But wait! Those were blue, this is red! Well, certainly, yes. But only the ruling member of the Aldane family may don red, the others instead sport blue. Why? I dunno, maybe the original Aldanian rulers just really dug how red brought out their eyes.

It's mentioned later, but I thought I'd say it again here: Most Aldanians tend to blond/e hair and blue or green eyes. Think Frode or Joakim. Also, fun fact! Difference between blond and blonde? A guy can be blond, but not blonde. A girl can be blonde, but not blond. Traditionally, "blond" is for men, while "blonde" is for women. Though, granted, that's prolly not a rule that many people follow these days. But still fun to know the traditional usage, though.

IMPORTANT NOTE: So, while doing some housekeeping, I came to the horrifying realization that I had completely skipped a page. Page 14 of this chapter, specifically. I've now uploaded it, and it's in its proper place here. I apologize for the mess, hopefully it won't happen again.

Huh, I always wondered about the difference between "blond" and "blonde", but I never bothered to look it up. Thanks for the bit of trivia!

So, uhh, I take it that Ylva has never actually MET the princes, has she? ;)

Or she has met them, and is an Imperial Grade brown noser ;) Heh, I kinda like the idea of some poor scribe being instructed to write stuff like this, and then going to the local bar at night to get absolutely plastered for the drivel she has to write up. Or maybe she actually believes everything that she writes, and gets a lovely 8 hours of sleep each night, conscience perfectly clear. We'll never know :D

Also, glad I could provide a bit of interesting trivia for you, pleased to be of service, heh.

Hmm, that is both a disturbing and an unsurprising commentary on Ylva's job. Sounds too close to reality to be a good job. :D

Check out other great comics!
