I had a lot of fun with this page as well. Granted, the actual mechanics of that throw are probably off, but I still like how it turned out. It doesn't need to be Gracie-perfect. Though, that would be pretty neat. Alas, what martial arts training I have didn't really focus on throws. It was more striking and weapons, so my knowledge there is limited.

(Oh, you had martial arts training? May I ask what it was?

About 30 years ago I was practicing some moves from a book, he trained Tae-Kwon-Do and I nothing. It turned out the that his counter attacks didn't properly work if I only knew my attacking move and not how to react to the counter attack XD I have been halfheartedly interested in martial arts since then but never had any real training.

Just by chance - yesterday Batwoman was mention in the forum so I looked her up (to see what the deal was with her being "too" lesbian) and ended up reading all the Wiki-pages about the Gracie-family and some other styles, including the one Sherlock Holmes used, bar(t)itsu. (But personally I'm rather a fan of Aikido.))

FMA mostly, but that was over a decade and a half ago, so I am extremely rusty, heh. I did keep up with some of the weapons stuff, but an injured lower back prevents me from doing anything too strenuous.

*highfive* I have a damaged lower back, too. Too bad to ride a bicycle now but I'm getting better, maybe I can do it next year.

Check out other great comics!
