Quick! You remember that big 18-wheeler truck you saw the other day? You remember the tires on that thing? Ok, now pick one of those tires up. One-handed. Can't quite picture it? Ok, think about your car, or your friend's car, or any other car. Pile five of those tires together onto a platform, and then lift that with just one hand.

Why am I asking this? Well, first, a bit of math. An average semi-truck tire weighs around 47ish kg, (around 105 lbs). Regular passenger ties on the other hand are a little under 10 kg (around 22 lbs), so five of them is around 50 kg (110 lbs or so). So, why am I asking you to lift that much weight one-handed?

Well, that's around how heavy the draw weight of war bows is. That piece of wood with a string that shoots pointy little arrows? You're pulling back on a string that has the equivalent weight of five car tires. That's how ludicrously hard it is to use a war bow.

I think I've ranted about this before, but I feel like ranting again. Those shows that give "the chick" a bow because she's not physically strong enough to wield a sword? Bullcrap. Using a proper warbow takes tremendous amounts of physical strength. Could a female have that amount of strength? Certainly, I've been beaten up by females before and have known some who could out-bench me. Assuming that because it's a fiddly ranged weapon, you don't need muscles to use a bow? Bullcrap again. I challenge any modern individual, man or woman, to draw a proper warbow to full draw in proper form without first having literally years of training. I know for sure I can't.

So... yeah. Joakim saying he can't draw a bow? Perfectly reasonable.
