I will confess. I too had too much fun with this page. Clothing montages always are. It's hard to convey it in the image, but his previous blue outfit is supposed to be all fine dress wear. What he changes into is more like regular linen. I have yet to figure out a way to render it so that the texture of the clothes would be obvious, but in such a way as to not detract from the overall aesthetic of things. I mean, sure, it would be incredibly easy to apply an actual texture to the material to have it show up as a rougher sort of cloth, but that would contrast far too much with the rest of the art.

And on a related note, yes, spiky armor is an incredibly stupid idea. There really is no way to get it to work properly. Well, at least typical fantasy spiky armor. No way for that to work practically. Can still look pretty cool though, if done well. Most of the time though, just looks incredibly silly.

Well of course spiky armor must be designed so ~~thane~~ that one doesn't spike oneself, but once you manage to get your opponent into a bear-hug...
